Stacking damage mods on vehicles are now a problem just like they were a problem for infantry before you made the adjustments during 1.8 which actually helped game play in my opinion but something needs to be done because this is clearly an exploit with having stacked mods issuing the percentage of damage increase that is allowed , the percentages being to high in fact .
I don't have numbers but something needs to be done because this is obvious a crutch for most who use this method , either than or reduce the damage output for rail-guns but something needs to be done so , I hope that you look into this so that some balance could be maintained during the last moments of the existence of this game .

I won't dispute with anyone on this topic I just would like CCP to look into this and if they find that I am exaggerating then nothing will be done about it and I apologize for wasting companies time but I believe that it is an exploit like it was for the infantry , which cheapens game play and experience .
Thank you for reducing the rail-gun range CCP , it was the right choice now could you look into this and follow suit .
30 percent on a mod just seems a little bit too high .
They have already nerfed rail gun range, it says you have a range of 200 but that seems like an exaggeration to me. Drop ships consistently hover outside my range, spike altitude and then harass me until a group of reds spam AV or I find cover, at which point they fly around with impunity. If they reduce the damage then they need to bring the range back to where it was before.
I could deal with bringing everything down a level(or even more than this), with standard doing 1200 damage, Adv doing 1400 and Proto doing 1600(I don't use proto anyways, too much drain and not enough benefit, unless you were running a strict glass cannon fit) but they need to give them the range back.
Rail guns are supposed to be ranged anti vehicle, and they have to be able to spam that damage to counter the mercs that are running triple reps.....it just wouldn't be a good idea to nerf both range and damage.
As far as with tanks annihilating infantry, they should make it so that tank "main" weapons do damage in relation to the targets scan signature. This means that tank rounds would do significantly less damage to infantry(heavies would be the exception to this, they are larger...sorry guys) This would alleviate blaster tanks from running rampant on the field.
If you wan't to counter infantry, that's what the small turrets are for and would make tankers bring gunners along with them for protection. On that same note, the small turrets also need a greater firing arc to give back the love to those pesky drop ships. |

It helped to make a tank overpowering and took away the situational aspect of a tank .
Yeah I can agree with most that you have to say .
Now IF CCP continues to work on dust while they develop Legion, and open the maps up like they claimed they were going to do, then a 600 m range on the tank would be acceptable.
Or, they could give ammunition types, similar to Eve, which would allow a player to max out their damage, or increase their range. So you would be able to hit that tank or dropship across the map, but you would only be doing half the damage, or you could slug out maximum damage for half the range.
Yes a lot of people use the double damage mods as a crutch, and there are numerous people who use triple reps as a crutch(I use two, but only because I feel I need that to counter the above tankers.... |
